COVID-19 Precautions at Benfleet Veterinary Surgery

As a result of the recent changes to the Governments Covid-19 restrictions and social distancing measures, we have introduced some changes to our normal means of operating. This means Benfleet Veterinary Surgery will be taking the following precautions:

1. We see our animal patients strictly by appointments only.
2. Pet owners are requested to wait in the porch area in order to keep safe social distance as much as possible. On arrival, our staff can be notified by ringing the bell.
3. One person with their pet is allowed in the porch area at any one time. We require you to wear a mask and use the hand gel facilities located by the entrance and in the porch.
4. In order to minimise the number of people gathering outside the surgery, we still ask for only one person per patient to attend the appointment.
5. Please call to pre-order any medications, flea or worming products. We are currently asking for 4-6 hours notice.
6. As per government advice, if you are showing any symptoms of Covid-19, please call to rearrange your appointment or if urgent then a friend or relative to attend on your behalf.
7. Cash payment discouraged and card payment is preferred .
8. Due to the operational changes, the current waiting time can be between 5 to 30 minutes.
